UTC Aerospace Systems’ Danbury workforce develops and manufactures electro-optical systems supporting a range of critical missions in space, air, and on the ground, supporting defense, civil, and international markets.
Esty is a member the U.S. House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and supports robust federal investments in aerospace and defense industries as well as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education to prepare students for 21st-century jobs.
Recently, Esty’s bipartisan STEM Education Act, which she introduced with Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas), passed the U.S. House of Representatives with bipartisan support.

Madeline Wilczewski, one of the many young engineers in the Danbury UTC facility, commented that developing advanced technologies has provided her significant opportunities to apply her University of Connecticut engineering degree and support national defense and scientific endeavors.
