DANBURY, Conn. -- State Rep. Jan Giegler, a Republican who represents parts of Danbury and Ridgefield, has posted a perfect record: She did not miss a single vote in the regular 2014 legislative session.
Statistics compiled by the House Clerks Office, which released data on representatives' votes this week, showed that she achieved the 100 percent voting record.
Giegler cast her vote on 308 separate pieces of legislation that made it to the floor of the House of Representatives. Only 33 percent of legislators were able to duplicate Giegler's achievement.
I have always done my best to represent the people of Danbury, New Fairfield and Ridgefield and to make sure their voices are heard at the state Capitol, Giegler said in a statement. Im honored to be part of a dedicated legislature that is working to make our community and our state a better place.
