Cristian M. Peralta was given a citation for the drugs on Wednesday, Jan. 9, after police noticed his 2007 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the Wilton Library with the vehicle's four-way flashers on, said the Wilton Police.

Upon being approached by a marked police cruiser, he began exiting the parking lot onto Old Ridgefield Road and traveled southbound, police said.

He then turned into the Fairfield County Bank and was observed driving around to the front of the bank making a left turn onto River Road where he got out of this car and began walking towards police flailing his arms in a frustrated fashion and recording the incident on his cell phone.

Peralta told the officers that he was upset about being followed by police the past several nights while delivering papers, police said.

Officers could smell pot and searched his vehicle and his passenger, finding the small amount of pot and the smoking pipe.

He was released with a citation for less than a half-ounce of marijuana and possession with intent to use the drug.
