Shots Fired In Danbury; Two Men Arrested

DANBURY, Conn. – Two men were arrested Saturday when police responded at about 3 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the area of Federal Road, police said.

Darrell Spenser, of Waterbury, and Kirk Walker, of Raleigh, N.C., were arrested after police stopped their car and an eyewitness identified the two men, Detective Lt. Tom Michael said.

Spencer was charged with breach of peace, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of subsidized housing, reckless driving, engaging police in a pursuit, failure to obey a control signal and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Michael said. He was released on $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court Jan. 15, police said.

Walker was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, breach of peace, criminal possession of a pistol, first-degree reckless endangerment, fifth-degree larceny and having a weapon in a motor vehicle, Michael said. He was held on $100,000 bond, police said.
