Norwalk Fire Department Swears In New Officers, Promotes Another

The Norwalk Fire Department recently held a promotional and swearing-in ceremony, at Norwalk Fire Headquarters, welcoming new members, and promoting others.

During the event, probationary firefighters John Pomponio, Madeline Jankowski, and Gregory Petriccione were officially sworn into the department and Firefighter Jesse Granton, an 8-year veteran, was promoted to Fire Inspector, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Cheif Edward Prescott.

Fire Chief Geno Gatto, and Assistant Chief Chris King presided over the ceremony, while Mayor Harry Rilling and Fire Commissioners, Pastor, Oscar DeStruge and Larry Bentley read the oaths of their positions.
