Police intervention was required in New Canaan when a man threatened to use a gun during a domestic dispute between two occupants of a local residence over the weekend.
Officers from the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched shortly before 12:45 a.m. on Saturday morning to a Jelliff Mill Road residence, where there was a reported domestic dispute involving two people.
The investigation into the incident determined that Westport resident Francis Blair Wylie, 33, allegedly had a gun and threatened to use it to harm his victim. Upon arrival at the scene, police said that Wylie was in possession of the gun in the driveway. He was arrested after officers spoke with he and his victim.
Wylie was transported to New Canaan Police Headquarters, where he was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening. He’s currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bond and is due in court on Monday to answer the charges.
