A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to Home Depot on Independence Way at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Monday, July 8, where there was a report of an attempted larceny.
Upon arrival, the deputy found the suspect, Carmel resident Mark Vujevic, in the loss prevention office at the store. A representative for Home Depot stated that Vujevic was caught stealing the lawnmower and air conditioner while walking out of the store and he was taken into custody by a loss prevention agent.
The representative also said that the store wished to press charges.
Vujevic was taken into custody by police without incident and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing. Vujevic was charged with one count of petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Southeast Court later this year to respond to the charges.
