Alejandro Londono, 56, sexually assaulted the now-14-year-old victim on multiple occasions between the ages of five and eight years old, according to Union County Assistant Prosecutors Jessica Kahn and Izabella Wozniak, who prosecuted the case.

Londono is also facing charges of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact stemming from an unrelated incident involving a 14-year-old male victim, Acting Union County Prosecutor acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said.

The convictions are the result of an investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office's Special Victims Unit following a 2018 referral from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

The incidents occurred at a house on 4th Avenue in Elizabeth, authorities said.

Londono was convicted Tuesday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment, following a jury trial before Union County Superior Court Judge Lisa Miralles Walsh.

Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, March 27, before Judge Walsh.
