Andrew Creamer, 48, of Darien, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 12, during a warrant execution at a home on Old Farm Road, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri.

Creamer's arrest follows several months of investigation by members of the department’s Detective Bureau and Selective Enforcement Unit into the distribution of narcotics at local establishments in the downtown area of Darien, Palmieri said.

During the investigation, Creamer was identified as allegedly dealing cocaine to a large number of people out of one of the local drinking establishments on Tokeneke Road, he added.

During the search of Creamer's home, police located a small amount of cocaine, as well as tools indicating cocaine sales including baggies, scales, and a cocaine press, Palmieri said.

Detectives also located $16,000 in cash. Creamer told officers that the cash was the proceeds from the sales of narcotics over a period of time.

Also seized from Creamer’s room were a shotgun and two rifles that were found unloaded and unsecured on the floor. One of the rifles was later determined to be illegal based on its modifications.

A large amount of unsecured ammunition for all three firearms was also seized, as well as numerous illegal high capacity magazines.

Creamer shared the home with several family members, to include two minor children ages 11 and 12.

He was charged with two counts of sale of illegal drugs, two counts possession of narcotics, illegal possession o assault weapon, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, two counts risk of injury to a minor, operation of a drug factory, and possession of high-capacity magazines.

He was held on a $200,000 bond.
