SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- A 39-year-old Danbury man was charged with driving while intoxicated after Putnam County Sheriff's officers stopped his car early Saturday along Route 6 in the town of Southeast, police said.
Raymond R. Cesarski, 39, of Walnut Street, was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated after he failed field sobriety tests, police said. Sheriff's officers stopped the car at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday after noticing traffic violations, police said.
He was released from the Putnam County Correctional Facility after posting $250 cash bail pending an appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court, police said. If found guilty, he could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000, police said.
