DANBURY, Conn. – A Danbury man was charged with accosting a teenage girl Tuesday while she was walking home at 3 p.m. in the area of Old Oak Bar and Liberty Street near downtown, the Danbury Police Department said.

Officers responded to the area of the Old Oak Bar at 84 Liberty St. and were flagged down by a juvenile female victim and her mother, police said.

The girl told officers that while walking home, she was accosted by an adult male, police said.

She broke free and ran away but was able to look back and see the man enter a residence on Comstock Street, police said.
