DANBURY, Conn. -- Philip John Arena of Danbury died Monday, Dec. 22, at Danbury Hospital. He was 94.
He was the husband of the late Helen (Pepe) Arena. He was born June 7, 1920, son of the late Salvatore and Palma (Torragrosso) Arena and was a New Fairfield/Danbury area resident since 1965. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and worked for the New York City Transit Authority in the maintenance department. He later worked at Danbury Pharmaceutical before his retirement. He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield.
Philip is survived by his son, Richard J. Arena and his wife, Julie, of New Fairfield.

There will be a prayer service at Hull Funeral Home at 60 Division St. in Danbury on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home preceding the service from 6-7:30 p.m. Information and on line condolences cabe be found at HullFuneralService.com.
