She was the wife of Mark, daughter of Lolito Bagas and Maria Luz Capito; daughter-in-law and best friend to Kenneth Batyr; sister to Jojo, Jill, Jason, Jean-Paul, and Ella Luz.
She was a "shining star" for Johnny, Reina, Chris, and Alex as well as an aunt and friend to so many. Of Waray-Waray (Philippines) descent, Batyr is being remembered as "blessed with the heart, humility, and strength of a warrior," the obituary said.
The family will receive friends at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc., 293 South St., Oyster Bay on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
