The woman told police she heard two to four gunshots and was shot by an Hispanic man, police said. She sustained a gunshot wound to her thigh and was treated at a local emergency room. When police arrived on the scene, they found two shell casings. They questioned people still there, but they said they did not witness the crime, police said. The victim also gave limited information about the incident, police said.
The incident is being investigated by the detective bureau. Police ask anyone with information to call 203-797-4662.
