Whole Foods Opens, Cops Investigated Are Top Stories In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. - An investigation into the conduct of four Danbury police officers started after allegations of incivility and the new Whole Foods Market opened. Here are the stop stories of the week in the city.

The much-anticipated Whole Foods Market opened its doors Friday. The new supermarket has unique features such as the Burger and Shake bar.

One commuter train derailed and hit another during Friday evening's rush hour near the Fairfield Metro train station. The National Transportation Safety Board arrived Saturday morning to lead the investigation. The wreck led to the cancellation of train service between South Norwalk and New Haven.

On Thursday, Danbury Police Chief Alan Baker said the department has been looking into allegations of rudeness by officers after an anonymous tip was filed. 

Runners and walkers alike came out to support Sandy Hook in the Spring Forward for Sandy Hook 5K that was sponsored by the teachers and students from Rogers Park Middle School on Saturday.
