• Danbury High School led the state in student arrests with 104 in 2011, according to a new study released by Connecticut Voices for Children.

• An anonymous donor has given $10 million donation toward renovations of Danbury Hospital.

• Western Connecticut State University in Danbury hosted the funeral services for Staff Sgt. Todd James “T.J” Lobraico, the 22-year-old New Fairfield airman who was killed in combat in Afghanistan.

• Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton honored fallen airman Sgt. Todd "T.J." Lobraico Jr. during the city's 9/11 ceremony. Lobraico, a 22-year-old from neighboring New Fairfield, was killed in combat in Afghanistan.
