Police said the footage shows Lidia Quilligana picking up the child by the throat and throwing her to the ground as well as grabbing the girl's wrists and holding her hands on what appeared to be stove burners, newstimes.com reported.
The mother of the victim installed the nanny-cam when she became suspicious of bruises on her daughter, the report said. The girl had second-degree burns on her hands and leg, newstimes.com said.
Quilligana was charged with risk of injury to a minor and third-degree criminal mischief. Her bail was originally set at $100,000 but was subsequently raised to $1 million due to the graphic nature of the video, newstimes.com said. She faces 20 years in prison if convicted.
