DANBURY, Conn. — A jury found a 20-year-old Danbury man guilty Tuesday of manslaughter in the stabbing death of a fellow teenager after a late-night street fight back on Dec. 7, 2013, according to the News-Times.

Emanuel Harris, who was 17 at the time of the attack, was originally charged with murder in the death of 17-year-old Luan Pitol and was tried as an adult. The attack occurred at Wooster and Foster streets near the historic Wooster Street Cemetery after a party at the nearby Harambee Youth Center.

Harris was also found him guilty of first-degree assault for slashing another teenager in the brawl, the News-Times said.

During the trial, defense lawyer Dante Gallucci said Harris had a knife that night but didn't stab Pitol, the News-Times said. Assistant State’s Attorney Warren Murray said Harris and his friends were armed with knives, brass knuckles and a stun gun device and were ready to fight, the story said.
