DANBURY, Conn. — All students were evacuated after a bomb threat was reported at Henry Abbott Tech High School in Danbury on Monday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

At about 9:30 a.m., state troopers and the Danbury Fire Department responded to the state-run high school on Hayestown Avenue, Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said.

"The school has been evacuated while we investigate,'" she said via email.

No injuries were reported, Danbury police said.

The State Police Emergency Services Unit is on the scene, assisting with the investigation, Grant said.

All students at Abbott Tech have been evacuated and will be dismissed, Mayor Mark Boughton said via Twitter.

The nearby Hayestown Elementary School is on a soft lockdown, Boughton said. "State police and DPD are on it," he said.

Parents were told to pick up students from the nearby ShopRite parking lot, WLAD-AM said .

Abbott Tech is located on Hayetown Avenue, with the elementary school next door at the intersection with Tamarack Avenue. No roads were closed, but police report an increase in traffic in the already busy area near the North Street retail area off Exit 6 of I-84.

Danbury police confirmed there was a bomb threat at Abbott Tech. The State Police is handling the case at the state-run technical high school.
