DANBURY, Conn. -- Be inspired, rally the troops, plant a red poppy and head on over to the Danbury Farmers' Market to support those who served us.
Veterans may come to the market from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. any Friday through Oct. 30, show their veterans' ID and receive a gift certificate to buy fruits and vegetables while supplies last, according to a press release. The Danbury Farmers' Market, with its focus on Connecticut-grown produce, is at Kennedy Park.
For information about the market, call CityCenter Danbury at (203) 792-1711 or visit citycenterdanbury.com.
