These Fairfield County Restaurants Rated Among Best In State For French Food

Connecticut Magazine’s “panel of culinary experts” have ranked two Fairfield County locales on their list of the state’s best French restaurants:

  • Luc’s Cafe, Ridgefield: Opened in May of 2001, Luc’s Cafe sits in the lower level of one of Ridgefield’s oldest buildings. The cafe provides a variety of menu options that are all created using authentic French flavors and ingredients. From salads to soups, sandwiches, and hearty entrees, Luc’s cafe is ideal for anyone who enjoys French cuisine. The cafe is located at 3 Big Shop Lane and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, visit the website.
  • Sucre Sale, Ridgefield: Translated to “sweet and salty” in English, Sucre Sale is a French staple owned and operated by Frank Bonnaudet, a trained chef from the Brittany region of France. The locale opened in 2014 and offers a huge variety of traditional yet moderately priced appetizers, salads, entrees, crepes and quiches. Diners can also choose from high-end entrees with duck, racks of lamb, pork loin and more. Sucre Sale is located at 109 Danbury Road with operating hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
