DANBURY, Conn. -- Think you can't complete 500 burpees? You won't have to, but your team will.
Up to four people may be part of a team Saturday for Hell Day For Heroes II at the Danbury War Memorial.
The fundraiser will benefit Help Our Military Heroes, an organization that honors service men and women who have served in recent conflicts and have returned home with severe injuries that require modified minivans. All fitness levels may be part of a team that will collectively complete a series of exercises in the "Bitching Betty" workout, against a clock.
It consists of 500 each of push-ups, burpees, sit-ups and air squats.
Participants may sign up by creating a fundraising page here. When picking a team title, use your first and last name. All team members must sign-up under your team name. Use the "invite team members" button on the page to send the invites.
The registration donation is $50 per person. Participation is a $50 donation made on the fundraising page, or it can be paid in cash or check on the day of the event. Your donation fee will be waived for participants that raise $500, or $2,000 as a team.
Bring a towel or mat and water bottle.
