DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Music Centre will host a Medieval Music Day on Sunday.
Medieval Music Day will feature workshops for vocalists and instrumentalists, as well as a concert by Marginalia.
The workshops are from 1-5 p.m. Participation is $25.
The concert, "In Search of the Medieval Bagpipe," starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.
Peter Walker, director of Marginalia, will lead the workshop. Modern instruments are welcome. The workshop will cover the variety of music instrument types played in the middle ages and explore estampies, troubadour/trouvere song tunes and simple dances.
A selection of what was learned in the workshop will be shared during the evening program.
