DANBURY, Conn. -- Folk music, dessert, coffee, and comedy. What could be better? The King Street United Church of Christ in Danbury will present Boys in Hats, the folk duo of Eric Anderson and Paul Bryant-Smith, on Saturday, Feb. 27, as a "raise the roof" coffeehouse fundraiser.

Boys in Hats describes themselves as "two ordained ministers with delusions of musicianhood." They are best known for playing favorites from the traditional folk literature and new folk music from sea, farm and railroad. For more information, check out their website.

Both adults and children are welcome. Coffee, cider, popcorn and desserts will be provided, or guests may feel free to bring their own nonalcoholic beverages and snacks.

The suggested donation is $10 per person. The proceeds will benefit the church.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the dining room of the church at 201 South King St., in Danbury. The snow date is March 5.
