Chappaqua's Wine Around Town Features Free Tastings For Shoppers

CHAPPAQUA, N. Y. -- Holiday shoppers can do some wine tasting while completing their gift-buying at several local downtown Chappaqua merchants Saturday for the second annual Wine Around Town event.

More than two dozen downtown Chappaqua merchants plan to offer wine tastings to shoppers Saturday as part of the second annual Wine Around Town event sponsored by the Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsored by the Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce, the free event is co-sponsored by several other businesses and features themed wine tasting at more than two dozen downtown merchants. Participating merchants will set up wine tastings in their stores between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday for shoppers to sip while browsing.

Downtown regions will offer different wines, for example, several King Street stores plan to serve Champagne while California chardonnay tastings are to be available in the Greeley shops, officials said. Some of the stores participating in the event are Casa Tile and Design, Desires by Mikolay, The Kings Scribe and Hip Kid.

Other sponsors include Breeze, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Cathy’s Hair Salon, Family Britches and Hilltop Wine and Spirits.
