Danbury Man Slashed Victim's Neck, Arm During Bar Fight, Jury Finds

A 31-year-old man was found guilty this week of slashing someone with a knife during a bar fight last year, officials announced.

Kevin Patricio Pereira of Danbury was convicted of assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment, threatening, and breach of peace in the April 13, 2024, attack, the state prosecutor's office said. 

Authorities said Pereira cut the victim's neck and arm during a fight at Boemia Café on Wildman Street in Danbury. A bartender jumped in and broke up the fight. 

Pereira ran away while the victim was hospitalized following the incident, authorities said.
