The three men, including John-Rafael Heath, 33, of Bridgeport; Nino Miller-Marks, 33, of Norwalk, and Joseph Segarra-Jimenez, 22, of Bridgeport, were arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 28, by the detectives with the Norwalk Police Department at the Red Carpet Inn in Norwalk, said Lt. Jared Zwickler.
During the search of a room at the hotel, officers recovered illegal drugs from both a vehicle used by the men, and the hotel room consisting of the following: powder and crack cocaine, heroin/Fentanyl, marijuana, and ecstasy, Zwickler said.
Additionally $700 cash was seized. The juvenile was released to a legal guardian, the other three were arrested and charged as follows:
Miller-Marks was charged with:
- possession of a controlled substance,
- possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana,
- possession of narcotics with the intent to sell,
- possession of a controlled substance within 1,500-feet of a school,
- possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell near a school.
Heath was charged with:
- possession of a controlled substance,
- possession with intent to sell,
- possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with 1,500-feet of a school,
- possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell near a school,
- possession of an illegal weapon.
Segarra-Jimenez was charged with:
- possession of a controlled substance,
- possession with intent to sell,
- possession of marijuana with intent to sell,
- possession of a controlled substance with 1,500-feet of a school,
- possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell near a school.
All three are being held on a $50,000 bond.
