Long Island Music Tutor Sends 'Inappropriate' Texts To Male Student, Police Say

A Franklin Square man has been arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages while working as a music tutor.

Nassau County Police said Eric Mordhorst, 67, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 11, for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to the victim, a 14-year-old male student, for more than a year.

Mordhorst was arrested at his home without incident and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Nov. 15.

Detectives request anyone who feels they may have been victimized by Mordhorst to contact the Fifth Squad at 516-573-6553.
