Know HIM? Newark Police Seek Porch Pirate

Authorities in Newark are seeking the public's help in identifying a package thief.

Police are on the lookout for a man who they say entered the front porch of a residence on the 200 block of N. 12th Street and stole a package on Wednesday, Jan. 15 around 3 p.m.

The man pictured above stole a package from the front porch of a house on the 200 block of North 12th Street and then got in a white four-door car on the same street, police said.

The suspect is described as a man with a light complexion and a dark beard.

At the time of the burglary, police say he was wearing a white and gray Northface hooded jacket, gray sneakers and gray pants with a white stripe down the side.
