Russell Molleur, 73, of Milford, was arrested on Saturday, March 9, after Milford Police responded to a West Town Street apartment on the report of a possible domestic incident, said the Milford Police.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found that Molleur allegedly attempted to choke a woman and hit her several times in the face with a closed fist, police said.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, assault, strangulation, unlawful restraint, and tampering with evidence.
Molleur is being held on $250,000 bond.
