Richard Vining, of Branford, was killed around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, in Middletown, when he was exiting I-91 southbound when he hit an unoccupied parked vehicle, said the Connecticut State Police.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the disabling damage.
The case remains under investigation.
