A school district in Fairfield County has shifted to remote learning for Monday, Sept. 21 after a student tested positive for COVID-19.
The Weston Public School District said it learned of the positive case at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
"We need at least Monday to do additional contact tracing to determine the potential spread of COVID-19 in the district," a statement posted on the district website said.
The district said it's working with the Westport/Weston Health District as well as its medical advisor.
The district said it expects to issue a new update later in the day Monday.
