NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Connecticut State Trooper Jullian Sovia recently met with Girl Scout Troop #50505 in New Fairfield to discuss bullying.
"I used to work full-time for the Connecticut Army National Guard in a maintenance shop but after a deployment to Iraq, I wasn't happy with my job, I wanted more, said Sovia. "I have always been interested in law enforcement and forensics, and was going to UConn to get my B.S. in Biology so that I could attend UNH in order to get my M.S. in a forensic related field. I realized I did not want to sit in an office or a lab but would rather be out on patrol."
Sovia works at Troop A in Southbury as a patrol trooper. She enjoys riding motorcycles, working out and spending time with her dogs Howie and Tilley.
