According to its website, brothers Nick and Vincenzo Petrafesa established Cafe Silvium in 2001, bringing the rich culinary traditions of their hometown, Gravina Di Puglia in Bari, Italy, to Stamford.

Their vision was to create a cozy, family-friendly environment where guests can savor hearty, traditional Italian dishes, as noted on the website.
