FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- What a difference a day makes. After a sweltering weekend, Fairfield County entered the workweek with high temperatures expected to only reach into the mid-70s before dipping into the 50s Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
In addition to the cooler temperatures, sunny skies are also on tap for the week with clear weather forecast through Friday. The exception will be Wednesday night, which will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will increase slightly during the week with highs reaching into the low 80s on Wednesday, before dropping slightly back into the mid-70s on Thursday and Friday.
