Two-Car Crash Blocks Lanes Of Route 8 Southbound In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A two-car crash is blocking three lanes of southbound Route 8 in Bridgeport just before noon Friday, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The crash is between Exits 5 and 3, DOT, and the left lanes are closed. The crash as reported Friday, July 29. at 11:21 a.m. Traffic was beginning to build up in the area.

DOT said it is working quickly to clear the highway. Rain was reportedly still falling in the area.
