NY School District Lawyers Draw Protests For Rape Case Defense Some students and community members demonstrated and protested over arguments made by lawyers for a New York school district following their response to a lawsuit filed by a teen who alleges that she was raped and choked by a bully. A small group of students and parents gathered in Westchester County outside New Rochelle High School after lawyers for the district said that the 14-year-old alleged victim was “negligent” in the alleged incident last year. A teacher from Westchester flew to the ancient capital of Baku this month to teach filmmaking and poetry. New Rochelle High School English instructor Anthony Stirpe has taken his innovative program on the two subjects as far as California but this trip was 5,800 miles. Reward Offered In Search For Killer Of Woman Found Dead In Greenwich As police continue to dig for clues in the death of Valerie Reyes, the Westchester woman who was found bound and stuffed in a suitcase in a wooded area in Greenwich, a reward is being offered for information. New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the death of Reyes, whose body was found on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Town Of Greenwich Employee On Leave After Taking Photos Of Dead Woman Just hours after the identity of the Westchester woman found bound and stuffed in a suitcase was released, Town of Greenwich officials are confirming that an employee is on paid administrative leave for taking photos of the murder victim and the crime scene and sharing them.
