A letter from prison allegedly written by Gilgo Beach serial murders suspect Rex Heuermann has been shared by notorious "Happy Face Killer" Keith Jesperson.Jesperson, now 68 years old, murdered at least eight women in the United States during the early 1990s. The former truck driver is in prison in Oregon. Heuermann is behind bars on Long Island, at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverhead. 2.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Westchester
An overnight earthquake startled some residents and shook buildings in Westchester. The United States Geological Survey said it had a magnitude of 2.2, was centered near the border of Hastings-on-Hudson and Yonkers, about 18 miles north of midtown Manhattan, and was felt at around 1:53 a.m. Friday, May 19. A popular actor has opened an Italian restaurant in Westchester County. The Chazz Palminteri Italian Restaurant opened its doors in White Plains over the summer. The restaurant is located at 264 Main St. in White Plains. Four CT Coronavirus Tests Negative; Two New Cases Confirmed In NYC
Two more cases of the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Thursday morning, March 5. The two reportedly are a woman in her 80s and man in his 40s. Three New York City residents have no been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. The first case in the state was diagnosed in Manhattan, a 39-year-old woman who is employed as a healthcare worker and had recently returned from Iran. Pilot Killed In Helicopter Crash-Landing On Manhattan High-Rise
A helicopter pilot who was killed while crashing-landing on the roof of a building Monday afternoon in midtown Manhattan was from Dutchess County, the FAA reported. Tim McCormack of Clinton Corners was the only victim in the crash. He was reported deceased 45 minutes later. His father and grandfather were Poughkeepsie firefighters. NYC Bus Terminal Re-Opened After Hour-Long Lockdown
The Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan was reopened following a lockdown Wednesday morning after a suspicious white powder was found. The terminal desk "received a report of an unknown white substance on the floor in the south wing" just after 9 a.m., the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.
