Garage Fire Quickly Extinguished In Brookfield BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Candlewood Company of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished a blaze Sunday afternoon in the garage of a home on Clearview Drive. Members of both Brookfield volunteer fire companies stayed on scene to vent the smoke and meter the house. There were no reported injuries. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Brookfield Fire Marshal.
