Woman Killed In Long Island House Fire, Police Say

A Long Island woman has been killed in a single-family house fire.

The blaze broke out around 10:25 a.m., Friday, July 30 in West Islip, on Udall Road, and was reported by a 911 caller, said the Suffolk County Police.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries, police said.

The woman's identity has not yet been released.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating the cause of the fire.
