Two Men Shot on Bridgeport's East Side

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two men were injured in a shooting Tuesday evening on the city’s East Side, police said.

The Bridgeport police department received a call reporting shots fired at 9:18 p.m. in the area of Stillman Street & East Main Street, police said.

One 29-year-old male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the right upper chest. He told police he heard two groups of people arguing before the shooting and then heard shots, police said.

He was driven to Bridgeport Hospital in a personal vehicle and is in stable condition, police said.

A second victim, a 46-year-old male told police he was walking south on East Main St. toward Stillman St. when he saw kids running and then heard a couple of shots, police said.

He sustained a minor grazed wound to the back in the left shoulder blade area and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital by a responding ambulance, police said.

Police are investigating the incident and are asking those with information on the shooting to call detectives at 203-581-5201.
