Third Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Bridgeport Barber Shop Owner

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 37-year-old man accused of murder was returned to Bridgeport Monday to face charges in the stabbing death of a local barber shop owner, according to ctpost.com.

Fernando Santiago, who was arrested Feb. 3, in Spartanburg, S.C., was returned to Connecticut after waiving extradition, according to ctpost.com. He is accused of felony murder, home invasion, first-degree robbery and conspiracy in connection with the Oct. 18 death of Jayson Rosado, of Goldenrod Avenue, according to ctpost.com.

Police said Santiago forced his way into Rosado's home, along with Orlando Pacheco, 40, and Mario Varela, 38, according to ctpost.com. Pacheco and Varela were arrested soon after Rosado's death, but the charges they face were not clear Monday, according to ctpost.com.

The three men are accused of ransacking Rosado's home before stabbing him in front of his girlfriend and young child, according ctpost.com.
