BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A suspect in Bridgeport jumped off the East Washington Avenue bridge into Pequonnock River Tuesday morning to avoid police who were chasing him, according to the Connecticut Post.
A hitch in the getaway plan was that the man with four outstanding warrants couldn't swim, the Connecticut Post reported. The suspect was able to climb out of the water and shortly afterward was taken into custody, according to the Connecticut Post.
