BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport woman is charged with leaving two children — ages 2 and 8 — unattended in the food court at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford while she shopped on Black Friday, Milford police said.
Officers went to responded to the mall on Boston Post Road at about 4:15 p.m. Friday after receiving reports that a juvenile had been left alone there, police said.
Hasenah Alessi, 30, of Golden Hill Street, Bridgeport, left the "two children unattended in the food court at the mall while she shopped at Macy’s," police said.
Alessi was charged with leaving a child unattended and risk of injury.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 19.
