The incident took place at around 12:34 a.m. Sunday on North Avenue, according to the Connecticut Post. The victim called police to report that two armed men had taken his car, and a few minutes later police received another call that the victim was at the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Howard Avenue, and that he had been shot, according to the Connecticut Post.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery on Sunday, though his condition was unknown on Sunday afternoon, the Connecticut Post reported. The car was eventually found in Fairfield, according to the Connecticut Post.
The two suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts that were tied to conceal their faces, according to the Connecticut Post.
