A 43-year-old man was killed following a single-vehicle crash earlier in the week, according to the Connecticut State Police.
The victim of the crash, which occurred around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 on Purchase Brook Road in Southbury, has been identified as Dermont Daly of Roxbury, said state police.
When Southbury Police, fire, and EMS, arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle down an embankment and partially submerged in water, state police said.
The vehicle appeared to be traveling northbound on Purchase when the crash occurred, they said.
Daly, who was partially ejected, died at the scene. There were no other vehicles involved.
