The identity of a teenager shot and killed in a Bridgeport neighborhood has been released.
Bridgeport Police received a report of shots fired and a victim shot in the area of Horace Street and York Street at about 11:10 p.m. on Friday, July 12.
Responding officers located the 17-year-old boy who sustained at least one gunshot wound to his chest. The teen, now identified as Sean Warren of Bridgeport, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital by medics where he died just before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13 after exhaustive efforts by ER staff to revive him, Bridgeport Police said.
Officers encountered two large parties taking place at the location with many people on the street after the shooting occurred. Detectives remain at the scene on Saturday morning and are processing a crime scene and interviewing witnesses.
