Driver Loses Control Of Vehicle, Lands On Roof At Merritt Service Plaza In Greenwich

One person was slightly injured after losing control of a vehicle and landing on its roof at the Greenwich Service Plaza on Sunday, the state police said.

The crash took place around 3:18 p.m., Sunday, March 17, when the driver was traveling southbound on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) and veered off to the right of the highway and struck an impact pole before overturning and coming to rest on its roof, at the Greenwich Service Plaza, the Connecticut State Police said.

The unidentified driver was transported to Stamford Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The driver was charged with failure to stay in lane.
