Bridgeport Teens Charged With Firing Into Backyard Party Injuring Three

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two Bridgeport teens have been charged with shooting into a backyard party on Monday, injuring three people, according to the Connecticut Post.

Owen Hines, 19, and Taivon Reed, 18, were charged with three counts of assault, failure to have a pistol permit, reckless endangerment and illegal use of a firearm after shooting at partygoers during a family get-together on Anson Street, said the Connecticut Post.

One of the injured, a woman who was shot in the chest, is listed in critical condition at St Vincent's Medical Center. Another woman who was shot in the thigh, and a 9-year-old boy who was shot in both legs and the abdomen, are listed in good condition, added the Connecticut Post.

Hines and Reed are being held on $750,000 bond. 

Witnesses told police that one of the partygoers had gotten into a fight the night before with one of the suspects, said the Connecticut Post.
