According to court documents and statements made in court, on Nov. 28, 2015, a Bridgeport police officer performing an inventory search of a vehicle driven by the defendant, George Sanchez – also known as “Little G” – found a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol, a neoprene face mask and approximately 44 bags of heroin.

Part of the handgun’s serial number had been scratched off, prosecutors said.

Sanchez has been detained since his arrest on Jan. 6.

On June 29, he pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

The matter was investigated by the Bridgeport Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI’s Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alina P. Reynolds.
